Our Campsite
We are a CL site and are registered with the Camping and Caravanning Club. The campsite boasts beautiful views across the Welsh landscape.
It is popular with individual families as well as family get-togethers and reunions. The working farm setting provides a relaxing campsite atmosphere and together with the adjoining play area encourages families to come back year on year.
Opening times & facilities
The site is open on a restricted basis on Saturday the 29th of April - please see our Facebook page for more details.
Facilities (apart from the incredible views into Monmouthshire!): 6 electric hook-ups, family-sized showers with hot water on demand. Toilet and shower block Nothing beats a nice hot shower after a hard day's exploring; our block is spotlessly clean and everything works!
In 2009, our site was awarded ‘Family Friendly’ status. The family sized showers with splash screen and drying-off area, together with the adjoining play area, contributed significantly to this achievement. Well behaved dogs are always welcome. Our certified campsite is suitable for people of all ages, including those with restricted mobility.

Countryside Walks
Our lovely family farm is nestled in the Welsh Black Mountains. We're a family-run venture and have been living on, and working, the land for over 70 years. We're lucky enough to be in one of the most beautiful places on earth and we want to share it with you.
Take a stroll in the woodlands and marvel at the wild flowers, the ponds full of invertebrates, and the magical views of the Black Mountains. Enjoy a short stroll or a long walk. From the car park the path leads into the native species garden where you can sit in the shade by the pond, or wander through the glade.
Younger walkers will enjoy the Woodland Adventure Trail just off the pathway. The wildlife garden is wheelchair accessible. Thereafter, stout walking boots or shoes are a must (it is a livestock farm after all). The path continues on through wild flower meadows into the ancient woods.
Kids
Kids are most welcome, with parents or guardians, or as part of school visits.
There are shorter walks on the nature and woodland trails, ponds to dip nets into, and a play area with climbing frames and swings; and of course many farm animals to see, including young calves and highland cattle.
Nearby places to visit
Being a frontier county on the Welsh Marches has left many inspiring, fortified remains such as Wilton, Skenfrith, Whitecastle and Raglan. St. Peter’s, our pretty Norman parish church with its unique stone carved tympanum above the door, is just 200 metres down the road. Dore Abbey, founded by Cistercian monks in 1174, has wonderful cakes in the Abbey Dore Court garden café. Llanthony Abbey sits nestled in the Black Mountains near footpaths and has a bar and restaurant in the cellar.
